// I’m dying//

Did Insanity’s fit test today.

I guess I got tired of myself just… being myself.

It was really hard and I felt like dying. I got really dizzy afterwards and felt a little ashamed that I let myself get down to this point. Then I remembered that Insanity’s fit test is hard, and that Insanity is also harder than just straight up running.

My progress! The left is what I started out with, the right is where I am now.

Looks are deceiving, because all my muscles are totally pumped up and bigger than my start measurements, but actually look slimmer than before.

// Week 4//

Yuck. This week I couldn’t do Thursday or Friday’s workout, since Thursday I came home and my mom went to bed (so I couldn’t work out because it would wake her up) and Friday I went to SoCal to get a car and I didn’t get home until 1 AM.

I am playing catch up with workouts, and man! It’s really hard. I did Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs today, and I’m supposed to be doing a Core Cardio and Balance session. Right now I’m debating on doing that workout session so I can feel more caught up… but I don’t know if that is a good idea or not.

What I learned though, is that honestly if you skip a day, then it’s really hard to get back into the swing of things, and that’s really discouraging.

I also didn’t do any running… which is not a good thing, but I kind of feel that because of Insanity, I’ll be alright not doing it. Although really, I should put in a couple runs here and there just to get used to the idea of running.

School started up this week, and I found out that Insanity really helped me out. I can run up stairs with a heavy bag and feel fine and not have to pause for a breather. It really helped with the endurance.

I’m doing the Insanity workouts! Basically it’s a 63 day workout plan mostly consisting of cardio.

Anyways. I did the fitness test today, and I regret not doing the first one. I would’ve liked to see my progress. Oh, and I regret not taking my measurements… but it’s too late now. And is it just me, or does the fitness test make you sweat more than the workouts?

I’ve also started waking up earlier and running in the mornings. And frankly, it kind of sucks. Running in the cold is hard! Waking up is hard! And choosing between freezing or overheating? Yuck. Still, it’s nice not having to do it later in the day.

I don’t pay much attention to how I eat, but I try to eat lots of whole fruits and vegetables. I eat with my boyfriend, who needs to eat richer foods for maintenance, so it’s a challenge. In general we don’t eat much breads, and we try to stay away from deep fried foods. We aren’t eating any fast food (his 2012 resolution). I’m not exactly counting calories, but according to the Insanity nutrition calculator, I should be eating around 1800 calories a day.

Overall I actually haven’t lost much weight. Maybe 4 pounds at most, but I think it’s more like 2? I’ve also noticed my boobs perking up and becoming rounder, but otherwise I haven’t seen that much change in body measurements. It’s slightly discouraging, but I’m halfway done with this month and the visual changes are obvious.
